Purpose
The purpose of this procedure is to contribute production safety and promotion of the agricultural and forestry industries as well as to protect natural environment by preventing entry of foreign pests through checking whether pests are adhered on the inside and the outside of containers and controlling pests found from the delivery stage of imported plants for planting to the stage before plant quarantine by the plant quarantine officer of Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency.

Control Target Places and Items
- Control Target Place: Warehouse signed management agreement as the quarantine place of imported plants for planting
- Target Items : Plants imported for planting (seeds, seedlings, bulbs, cutting slips, grafts, tuberous roots, tubers, and)
- Packaging Type of Target Import Plant: Container, bulk and pallet Exempt provided small cargo, air cargo and LCL cargo less than 100kg per B/L.
Officer's Responsibility
- The officer shall check whether pests are adhered on the inside and the outside of containers and control pests found when plants for planting are warehoused at the quarantine places.
- Checks pests within quarantine places and reports its results to the competent regional office of Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency.
- Other matters that IPAB President has determined necessary
